Group Hotel Rates in Vietnam: How They Work
Short answer: a group hotel rate is a price per room, per night that a hotel quotes for a block of rooms on the same dates, usually from around 8 to 10 rooms. It depends on the dates and season, weekday or weekend, the number of rooms, room type, length of stay and how far ahead you book. Before comparing quotes, check whether the rate is net or "++" (service charge and VAT added on top), whether breakfast is included, and which release and payment terms come with it.

City business hotels are often busier on weekdays; resorts are often busier at weekends. Shifting by a night can change the rate.
Number of rooms
More rooms help only if the hotel has space. On busy dates, a large block may be quoted higher or split across two hotels.
