Where to Stay in Ho Chi Minh City for Business
Short answer: stay in the old District 1 for meetings in the central business district, near Tan Son Nhat Airport for short visits and early flights, and in District 7 or Thu Duc when the work is there. Traffic decides more than distance, so stay close to where most of your meetings are.
Part of our guide to business hotels in Vietnam by city. Since July 2025, the city's districts are no longer administrative units, but the old district names are still widely used for areas.

Choosing well
Map the meetings
Put most nights near the place you visit most. Crossing the city at rush hour can take far longer than the distance suggests.
Split long trips
For a week with meetings in two areas, two hotels can save hours of travel.
Check the last night
With an early flight, a final night near the airport is often the simplest option.
